About Cassandra

I’m a native Spanish speaker, raised in a bilingual household, with a master’s degree in Public Administration and experience teaching 8th grade Spanish in a middle school classroom. I specialize in creating personalized, confidence-building lessons that help students succeed academically while improving their conversational and written Spanish skills. My approach is structured yet engaging, combining grammar, vocabulary, and real-world practice so students feel supported and motivated to progress.

I have worked with middle school students on homework, test prep, and comprehension, as well as with adults seeking to improve conversational fluency or professional Spanish. I tailor each lesson to the student’s needs, learning style, and goals, and I focus on making the learning process enjoyable, approachable, and effective. Students can trust that each session will be organized, constructive, and designed to build both skills and confidence.

Whether you are looking for help with school assignments, exam preparation, or improving conversational Spanish, my goal is to provide a supportive and professional environment where you can thrive. I am committed to helping every student achieve their language goals while fostering a genuine interest in Spanish.

My approach to tutoring is personalized, structured, and focused on building both skills and confidence in Spanish. I draw on my experience as a native Spanish speaker raised in a bilingual household and my classroom experience as an 8th grade Spanish teacher to tailor lessons to each student’s needs. I use a combination of interactive exercises, conversational practice, and practical examples to reinforce grammar, vocabulary, and reading comprehension. I also emphasize cultural understanding, so students not only learn the language but gain context for how it is used in real life.

A typical lesson begins with a review of previous material, followed by targeted instruction on a specific concept, such as verb conjugation or vocabulary development. I then incorporate guided practice, such as speaking exercises, writing prompts, or comprehension activities, and conclude with homework support or practice assignments that reinforce the lesson. Lessons are adapted for each student’s learning style and goals, whether they need help with school assignments, conversational fluency, or test preparation.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my combination of native fluency, classroom experience, and a personalized teaching approach. I make lessons engaging and approachable while maintaining structure, so students feel supported and motivated to practice and improve. My tutoring is ideal for middle school students needing homework help, adults seeking conversational fluency, or anyone wanting to improve their understanding of Spanish in a structured and confidence-building environment.
