About Penny
Hello! I am a native Mandarin speaker from China with clear and standard pronunciation. I hold a Level 2-A Certificate in the Putonghua Proficiency Test, which demonstrates a strong command of standard Mandarin.
I am patient, attentive, and detail-oriented. I understand that pronunciation, tones, and speaking confidence can be challenging for learners, so I explain things clearly and correct mistakes in a gentle and encouraging way.
My goal is to create a comfortable learning environment where students can practice Mandarin without pressure. I am especially happy to help beginners improve their pronunciation, tones, vocabulary, and everyday conversation skills step by step.

Each lesson will be adjusted to your level, interests, and learning goals. Topics may include self-introduction, travel, food, shopping, work, and daily life in Singapore or China. I use simple explanations, repetition, role-play, and friendly corrections to help you improve naturally.
I understand that speaking a new language can feel difficult, so my lessons are patient, relaxed, and supportive. You do not need any previous Mandarin knowledge. Simple English explanations can be provided when necessary.
