About Yixuan
As a native Chinese speaker, I hold a National Mandarin Level 2 A certificate. And I am pursuing a Master of Applied Linguistics at The University of Queensland. In 2023, I participated in the 2023 Chinese Bridge Online Camp with the full name "Language Links Sino-US, Partners in Journey, and Dream Weaving in Red Yan'an". During this experience, I worked with learners from diverse backgrounds, gaining a clear understanding of the common difficulties non-native speakers face in learning Chinese and how to address them effectively. Thanks to this practical experience, I excel at integrating culture into language teaching: for example, sharing folk stories when explaining words, or incorporating small details of cultural differences between China and other countries when practicing dialogues. This not only makes dull knowledge points vivid and interesting but also helps learners understand the language from a cultural perspective, making learning more effective. Whether you're starting from scratch or looking to improve your Chinese proficiency, I'm familiar with teaching methods tailored to different learning paces.
