About Maurizio
I'm a native Italian speaker from Turin with a Law Degree from the Università di Torino and over 25 years of experience as a professional linguist and translator. I work across five languages — Italian, English, German, French, and Spanish — and I've spent my career translating legal, financial, and corporate content at the highest level.
I also lived in Lugano, Switzerland for three years, so I'm equally comfortable with standard Italian and Swiss Italian. I'm currently pursuing my CEDILS certification in teaching Italian as a foreign language through Ca' Foscari University in Venice.
I understand what it takes to learn a language because I've done it myself — multiple times. That experience shapes everything about how I teach: with patience, structure, and real understanding of the challenges you'll face.

My lessons are tailored to your goals. Whether you're a complete beginner, preparing for the CILS B1 Cittadinanza exam, or looking to improve your conversational or business Italian, every session is built around what you need.
I use a communicative approach — real conversations, authentic materials like newspaper articles and audio clips, practical role-plays — not just textbook drills. Grammar is woven in naturally, so you learn it in context rather than through boring exercises.
A typical lesson combines conversation practice, targeted grammar work, and vocabulary building around themes relevant to your life. For CILS exam prep, I follow a structured program covering all four sections with mock exams and personalized feedback.
My style is serious but relaxed. You'll make real progress — without getting bored.
