About Carmela
I am a fully qualified secondary school teacher, a GCSE examiner and university tutor with twenty-five years’ experience in private tuition and teaching in schools, universities and colleges. Born and raised in Italy, I graduated in English and French Languages and Literature, before moving to the UK, where I obtained Qualified Teacher Status. I am currently teaching French and Italian at the University of Warwick and the University of Bath, an I am also providing personalised tutoring to adults.

Italian
I teach students how to communicate in the foreign language and help them to become independent learners and stay motivated in their studies. I adopt a very friendly student-centred approach, which focuses on students' needs, enhances their learning and encourages them to become more active. By using a vast array of resources and adapting the material to the learners ' purposes, I make lessons varied, effective and engaging.
