About Helene
I am a student at Trinity College, and I am a native German speaker. I’ve always enjoyed teaching others. When I was in secondary school, I was always helping my friends study. I find joy in helping someone understand a concept, and being part of someone’s learning process.

My approach to tutoring is student-focused, so the student can decide what they want help with, and what teaching methods they prefer. I am very flexible, and I can help with various different skills (e.g., speaking, writing, pronunciation, vocabulary). My preferred technique for language-learning is immersion, so for advanced students I would offer lessons with a focus on having conversations in German, and going through texts together. What’s also important to me is providing my students with ways they can improve their German in their own time if they want that. Qualifications: I am a native German speaker, I was born and raised in Austria. I graduated high school there, and German was always my best subject, and also my favorite subject. I have experience in teaching from tutoring my classmates and my younger brother. My lessons are for everyone, and the typical lesson-length would be 50 minutes, but I’m totally open to do shorter or longer lessons.

Perfect! I recently started learning German with Helene, and I have to say she is an incredible tutor! She really takes the time to understand your needs and tailors the lessons accordingly. I appreciate the perfect balance she strikes between grammar, reading, and conversational German. Even though it's only been a little over a month since I started studying with her, I feel like I've made significant progress and gained a lot of confidence in speaking the language. I highly recommend Helene to anyone looking to learn German!

Very good and competent support, she addresses your weak points in detail, and gives you the perfect learning tips and advice on how you can improve. I can only recommend her. She explains things in simple, logical terms and has a lot of patience if you don't understand something. You feel comfortable asking questions. After the tutoring, you always leave with the solution to your problems.
