About Ana
Hello!
My name is Ana and I am originally from Madrid, Spain. I have lived in the UK since 2009. I have trained and worked as a Spanish teacher in different secondary schools in the UK. I hold a PGCE in MFL and a MA in teaching Spanish as a foreign language, which allows me to be able to teach a wide variety of students. After my NQT year, I became Head of Spanish in 2012 and have fulfilled this role since then, so I am very experienced preparing students for GCSE and A-Level exams.
I have also tutored adults wanting to learn Spanish as a hobby or wanting to prepare an exam. Whatever your needs are, I will plan my lessons for you.

No matter what your objectives are, I plan each lesson to cater for your needs and goals taking into account the latest research to make your learning as rapid and engaging as possible.
In my lessons, I aim to work on micro-skills and improve attention to detail whilst following a communicative approach. In the meantime, I provide all the resources you will need to continue your learning at home.
I have availability at the moment in the evenings and could look at certain times at the weekend. I am based in York, but can offer online lessons too.
Before our first lesson, I would like to have a phone or personal chat to see your level of Spanish and your aims so I can tailor your lessons to your needs. This would be free of charge.
Please enquire if you would like to have a group class.
