I am originally from Spain and I have been living in the US for 23 years. I currently live in Northampton, MA. I came to this country after I graduated from college with a BA in Education. I first lived in California where I taught Spanish in public and private schools. When I moved to Washington DC I worked as a Spanish teacher for the Department of Defense, IMF and the World Bank, and then I got certified as a medical and legal Spanish interpreter and translator.
For higher levels of Spanish, I always incorporate current events in my lessons to help you learn the structure of the grammar, the use of complex tenses and the technical vocabulary that you need to gain confidence when speaking and writing in Spanish. I can also prepare you for AP courses since I follow the College Board directions by integrating news and literature for each area of content required to master the AP exam. If you like to travel to Spanish speaking countries, I will help you learn very useful vocabulary and gain the confidence you need to have an enjoyable experience while travelling.

Having known Eva since she was obtaining her education degree, and observing her work as a Spanish teacher for the International Monetary Fund and World Bank, as well as for a number of other government and other agencies, I can tell you that Eva is a smart, patient teacher and a lovely person.
