About Carole
I studied Languages and History at the University of Poitiers in France before gaining Qualified Teacher Status in Cambridge. I hold a Master’s degree in Education, I am DBS checked, and I have extensive experience teaching learners at all levels — from young children and beginners to adults and advanced students.
I began my teaching career delivering Business French to adult learners in Egypt and later in the City of London. I then taught in two secondary schools in Essex before transitioning to primary education, where I also examined and moderated GCSE French and provided private tuition.
With over ten years of experience teaching in secondary schools and moderating GCSE and IGCSE French, I have developed invaluable insight into what examiners are truly looking for. I can offer expert guidance, proven strategies, and practical techniques to help you excel and achieve your target grade.
Alongside my secondary experience, I am also a specialist primary French teacher. I spent ten years in a primary school setting, where I thoroughly enjoyed inspiring younger learners and nurturing a genuine passion for languages.

I am a native French speaker and experienced teacher offering high-quality online French tuition for students of all ages. I provide one-to-one lessons, including expert preparation for GCSE students aiming for top grades (8–9).
I hold a Master’s degree in Education, Qualified Teacher Status, and I am DBS checked. With many years of experience teaching in both secondary and primary schools — as well as examining and moderating GCSE and IGCSE French — I have a clear understanding of what examiners are looking for.
