My lessons are structured, supportive and personalised. I want you to feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and developing your confidence step by step. Having worked with learners across the full range of secondary levels, I know that everyone learns differently, and I adapt my teaching to suit you.
Most importantly, I want you to enjoy learning French while making real, measurable progress.
If you're looking for an experienced, native French-speaking teacher who understands the Scottish education system, I'd love to help you achieve your goals!

I offer engaging, structured French lessons that are tailored to each learner’s goals, combining clear explanations, interactive activities, and practical language use to build confidence and fluency. With a PGDE in French and previous experience providing English tutoring at university, I understand how to adapt my teaching to different learning styles and abilities.
Lessons typically last one hour, providing enough time to develop key skills while keeping sessions focused and productive. My lessons are particularly suited to secondary school pupils, whether they need support with schoolwork, exams, or confidence in the language, but I am equally happy to work with learners of any age who want to improve or begin learning French.
After our lesson, I can provide work for you to do in your own time, wether to strengthen a particular skill or further develop a grammar point. It can be as easy as watching a video on Youtube or a French film, or something more task-based.

I met Olivia in university where we were both studying to become teachers. I admired not only her wide knowledge of languages, but also her passion for teaching. As we both grew into our profession, sharing tips and tricks but also fun and proud moments we had with our students, I could see she was really becoming a wonderful teacher. If you're looking for someone to teach you languages in a fun and engaging way, she will be a great fit for you!
Olivia is a very reliable, patient and supportive tutor. She will tailor lessons to your needs and make them enjoyable as well! She will definitely make you feel at ease and help you gain in confidence. She genuinely cares about helping you improve your language skills and would highly recommend her!
I've known Olivia for a decade, and she is really patient and very clear in explaining things.
She manages to bring the best out of her students because she loves to create a bond with them - she listens and she cares to help you out.
She's very good at finding what you need, keeping you focused and helping you through your goals.
Olivia is reliable, nice, and organized.
I still appreciate our conversations in English!
Would 100% recommend!
