About Chloë
Originally from France and now residing in Scotland for the past 5 years, I bring a diverse cultural background and a passion for education and language acquisition. Recently graduating from the University of Glasgow with a Philosophy Degree, I've set my sights on furthering my education with a Postgraduate Certificate of Education at University College London, commencing this September.
Balancing my academic pursuits, I've dedicated myself to tutoring French, a role I find profoundly rewarding as it aligns with my belief in education's power to foster understanding and bridge gaps. My enthusiasm for teaching is fueled by the joy of guiding students and witnessing their growth firsthand. In my teaching approach, I prioritise understanding your individual proficiency level, learning objective(s), and specific areas you wish to improve upon. I adapt my techniques and methodology to suit diverse student profiles, considering factors such as age and proficiency levels, including those working towards IGCSEs and other academic accolades. I believe in immersing students in conversational French from the outset, emphasising the importance of active language use. Throughout our sessions, I maintain a thematic focus, integrating vocabulary expansion, pronunciation refinement, and conversational skills development. Each lesson is tailored to your preferences and learning style to ensure an engaging and effective learning experience. Additionally, I can provide supplemental worksheets to reinforce lesson concepts, encouraging light practice between sessions to facilitate continuous progress towards your language goals.
