About Tara
I am a friendly, patient and approachable person, and I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
I think that learning a language is more about being comfortable around it and making occasional errors than about immediate mastery of the language. So I aim to create a comfortable and interactive environment which prioritises trial and error to progressively build confidence.
I am organised and committed, and I will take the time to understand what each student needs from their lessons. Whether a student needs a little extra support or simply wants to become more confident in French, I am happy to adapt and help them reach their goals.

I am a native French speaker and a student at UCL studying Law and French Law. Having studied in the French education system, I am comfortable helping students develop their French both in and outside of school.
My lessons are adapted to each student's level and goals. I like to keep lessons interactive and focus on building confidence, while also working on grammar, vocabulary, speaking, reading and writing. I can also help students with schoolwork, homework and exam preparation.
Lessons are usually 1 hour long, but I am happy to adapt the length depending on the student's age and needs.
I have previous experience tutoring English Language and Literature at GCSE level, where I provided one-to-one lessons. I am happy to teach beginners as well as students who already have some knowledge of French, from younger students to GCSE level.
