About Shirin
I am a political scientist who specializes in public policy. I’m also a musician and a runner. I love languages and speak 4 comfortably. I love teaching farsi to those who are language lovers and want to learn more about Iran and the region.

Perfect! I have loved working with Shirin on learning Farsi; her curriculum is challenging without being boring or busywork. Shirin understands my goals with the language and my background, and really dedicates herself to helping me in the ways that I need. Her passion for teaching Farsi is infectious-- I always feel excited for our lessons, as well as excited to study in the week leading up to a lesson! Thank you, Shirin, for being such a great prof!
Perfect! Shirin is an amazing tutor! She assesses your level and incorporates your personal goals to come up with a personalized lesson plan. As someone who grew up around Farsi but could never speak it myself, her lessons have been invaluable and I can feel my conversational confidence growing quickly. She makes learning fun!
