I met Selena through a friend, and she taught me English for two years, from Secondary 4 to Secondary 6, through Zoom. She was a primary school English teacher at that time, and she took time to teach me.

Before her lessons, I struggled with listening and speaking, often needing to translate from Chinese and only giving short answers. With her patient teaching and well-prepared materials, I developed an English mindset. In the HKDSE and IELTS examinations, this helped me understand fast conversations and write down answers easily, and I achieved 8.5/9.0 in IELTS listening and Level 3 in HKDSE listening.

Frequent conversations with her improved my fluency, pronunciation, and confidence in speaking. She trained me for the Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival Solo Verse Speaking competition, where I became the champion. I was able to speak fluently and express my ideas confidently, and I achieved Level 4 in HKDSE speaking. My writing also improved through regular essay practice and her clear grammar teaching. Overall, she is a patient, caring teacher who always puts her students first and is truly dedicated to helping them grow.
