About Kirsten
Hi, I'm Kirsten! I recently moved from the Netherlands to Singapore to attend university, and I'm excited to share my knowledge and love for the Dutch language and culture.
Having grown up speaking Dutch and living in the Netherlands, Dutch has been an important part of my life from a young age. Now that I'm living in Singapore, teaching Dutch is a great way for me to stay connected to the language and culture while helping others discover it too.
I'm particularly happy to teach beginners and make lessons relaxed, practical and enjoyable. Whether you're learning Dutch for travel, family, work, study, or simply because you're interested in the Netherlands, I'll tailor the lessons to your goals and interests. I'm looking forward to sharing the language and culture with you!

My lessons are aimed mainly at beginners and anyone who wants to become more comfortable in using Dutch. I focus on making lessons practical, relaxed and enjoyable rather than simply following a textbook. Depending on your goals, we can work on pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, conversation and everyday expressions, while also exploring Dutch culture and how the language is actually used in daily life. My lessons are suitable for beginners of various ages, including students, adults and anyone interested in learning Dutch for travel, family, work, study or simply for fun. My goal is for you to feel comfortable using Dutch in real-life situations while enjoying the language and culture as well!
