About Joseph
Hello, and thank you for considering my Chinese language tutoring services! As a Master’s student in Telecommunications Engineering at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, I bring both a strong academic foundation and real-world experience to my teaching. I hold a Mandarin proficiency certificate and have several years of tutoring experience with students of different ages and backgrounds. My background has equipped me with the skills to communicate complex ideas clearly and to adapt my teaching methods to meet the individual needs of my students.

1. Techniques and Teaching Methodology:

Each lesson covers a balance of listening, speaking, reading, and writing activities to ensure students develop all essential skills. For beginners, I emphasize foundational skills like pinyin and basic grammar, while intermediate and advanced students focus on fluency, idioms, and cultural understanding.
2. Lesson Length:
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, which allows time to introduce new material, review previous lessons, and engage in interactive practice. For younger students or beginners, I may adjust the pace to maintain interest, and for advanced learners, lessons may extend to 90 minutes upon request.
3. Qualifications and Experience:
I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering at the University of New South Wales in Sydney and hold a Mandarin proficiency certificate. I have several years of experience teaching Chinese to students of various ages and backgrounds, both in-person and online.
