About Yanbo
Hello! My name is Yanbo and I am a native Mandarin speaker from Beijing. I moved to Canada at age 14 and I am a fluent speaker of both English and Mandarin. As someone who understands the process and struggles of learning a new language from a young age, I am passionate about sharing my learning methods that focus on helping students speak naturally and fluently, with an emphasis on vocabulary and conversation skills. Currently, I have experience teaching children and adults aged 9 and up, both in-person and online. I graduated from Burnaby North Secondary School and I am currently studying Computing Science in college. I hope to share my language-learning skills with you all!

As someone who understands the process and struggles of learning a new language, I am passionate about sharing my learning methods that focus on helping students speak naturally and fluently, with an emphasis on vocabulary and conversation skills.
In lessons, students will be introduced to a teaching method tailored especially to their age and skill level. I use a combination of structured lesson books along with speaking and listening practice. My goal is to improve the students' best language abilities and ensure that the student is fully engaged and comfortable with their learning method.
For more experienced students, I am able to engage in intermediate to advanced conversation and writing skills. I also welcome students who need extra help with school Mandarin subject.
