About Liuyang
Hi, I’m Liuyang, a native Chinese speaker with a pure Mandarin accent, a PhD degree, and over 10 years of experience teaching Mandarin to foreign students.
I take a patient, structured, and student-centered approach to teaching. I understand that every learner has different goals, whether they are building a foundation from the beginning, improving everyday communication, refining pronunciation, or developing a deeper appreciation of Chinese language and culture. My lessons are carefully adapted to each student’s level, pace, and interests.

Hi, I’m Liuyang, a native Chinese speaker with a pure Mandarin accent and a PhD degree. I have over 10 years of experience teaching Mandarin to foreign students, from beginners to advanced learners.
My teaching style is patient, interactive, and tailored to each student’s goals. In my classes, we work on pronunciation, speaking confidence, vocabulary, grammar, and real-life communication. I also enjoy bringing Chinese culture into my lessons through the appreciation of beautiful prose and classical poetry, as well as guided recitation practice. This allows students to experience Mandarin not only as a language, but also as a rich and expressive cultural tradition.
Each lesson is usually one hour long. My online lessons are suitable for learners of all levels and ages, whether you want to build a strong foundation, improve your fluency, refine your pronunciation, or explore Chinese literature and culture in a more meaningful way.
