About Marilia
Hello! My name is Marilia and I’m a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker from the south of Brazil. I've been living in Ireland for over 8 years, which has given me a unique perspective on language learning and cultural adaptation. Throughout my journey, I’ve had the chance to travel to more than 20 countries, which has enriched my understanding of different cultures and languages. I’m fluent in English and Spanish, which helps me to connect with a diverse range of learners and tailor my teaching approach to their needs. I’m passionate about helping people learn Brazilian Portuguese in a way that’s engaging, practical, and enjoyable. Whether you're looking to improve your conversation skills, deepen your understanding of Brazilian culture, or start from scratch, I’m here to support you every step of the way. For conversation lessons, I’m going to focus on helping learners develop practical speaking skills by using real-life scenarios relevant to Brazilian culture. Each lesson will include common phrases, expressions, and vocabulary tailored to daily situations like ordering food, asking for directions, or engaging in small talk. Through these lessons, students will not only learn to communicate effectively but also gain cultural insights to feel confident speaking Brazilian Portuguese in diverse contexts.
