I highly recommend Ariane as a Portuguese teacher. Sometimes I think my 64-year-old brain is just too tired and filled with information for Portuguese to sink in. Ariane is very patient with me and she doesn’t mind repeating herself. I asked her one day why there were three words for play: brincar, tocar, and jogar. She patiently explained that there were different kinds of play, and that in English, there are some equally confusing words and phrases. I had to acknowledge that that was true… but I still think it’s muito difícil! With Ariane’s patience, I am getting better and I have confidence that one day I will be a fluent speaker of Portuguese!
