About Charline
Hi, my name is Charline. I'm from Brittany in France. I am a qualified MFL teacher. I also have a Masters degree in French as a Foreign Language and a Bachelors degree in French Literature.
I have worked as a French Language Assistant in the UK and Austria and worked in both state and private schools in the UK.
I have helped students prepare for their GCSE and A level and am therefore well aware of what is expected for their exams. As a native French speaker, I can help them perfect their pronunciation and I can add cultural elements and perspectives they might not have studied in class. I love sharing music, books and movies recommendations with my students so that they can discover more of the French speaking world.
I have also worked with people who wanted to study French for different reasons than for school and no matter what brings you to learn French I will be there to help you progress and enjoy your learning journey. As I have myself taken English, German and Spanish lessons I know how difficult learning a new language can be. I always take this into account and I am an understanding, empathetic and patient teacher.
My favourite thing when teaching is seeing the confidence come gradually and seeing students reuse little things they just learned recently. My goal is to show people that learning French can be fun and rewarding.

I take time preparing each lesson to fit my students' needs and am happy to listen and communicate about what they want to work on particularly. As someone who also had to learn foreign languages I know how difficult it can be and always try to put myself in my students' shoes and be patient.
I love sharing my love for French culture and give little tips and anecdotes to understand French people a bit more. I can recommend books, movies, youtubers, podcasts, etc.

Perfect! Charline was extremely responsive and accommodating when arranging our first lesson.
