About Shreya
I am a filmmaker by education and a sustainably conscious fashion enthusiast by passion. I am self taught in the realm of sewing and picked up sewing as a hobby about 4 years ago. I am pursuing Film and Video Communication Design in the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. Being a multi-disciplinary institute, it has also given me exposure into the world of textiles, fashion, ceramics, graphic design, product design, exhibition design, animation design, etc.

In this class, you will learn sewing right from the very very basic stuff like how to turn on your sewing machine, choose fabrics, etc., to the more complex things like how to make your fashion sketches come to life. The focus of this class would be actually teach you sewing in depth, and not just like a formula, so that you can really make use of your skills to make your visions come to life. This course will also enable you to be more sustainable by choosing to mend and make your own clothes instead of buying into the fast fashion industry. Being self taught, I know all the struggles one can encounter when starting out with sewing, making me the perfect person to help you navigate those struggles.
