About Caleb
Welcome! My name is Caleb L. Carman. I'm a pianist and composer. I received my BA in music composition from Bard College in 2022. I am a classically trained pianist and have been studying for 19 years.
I believe piano playing is for anyone at any level or age, and we can always do more every day to become the artists we aspire to be. All you need is love, practice, and patience.
I have an extensive musical background, from giving piano recitals, playing in large ensembles, composing, improvising, helping students with their theory homework, etc. In general, I have a particular interest in the repertoire of the Baroque and Classical periods.

I can teach anyone from beginner to advanced students. I offer students the opportunity to play musical examples, improvise, and use music theory as an aid for composition. I believe theory and practice are interrelated processes essential for enjoyable music-making.
