About Žanis
I have graduated in Rīga, and I am currently studying for a master's degree in music didactics and pedagogy (final year) in Italy. I have experience as a musician - previously I played in Latvian music school orchestras and festivals, now I also participate in Italian conservatory events, even with experience in giving lectures on Latvian classical music, introducing the Italian public to my homeland heritage. My goal is not to follow exclusively dogmas: the method of Kodai, Dalcroze, Orff or Gordon. I want to introduce music, give the basics, explain the unclear or simply give advice for my future career. I do not want to pretend to be a music guru - I want to create a friendly and understanding environment. I can conduct classes in Latvian, Russian, English or Italian.

Are you a parent, a music school student or just a curious music lover? I help without boring rambling, by creating my own path for everyone. I will explain the basics of solfeggio, rhythm, Italian music terminology, music theory, history, literature, form and analysis – what you will need. If you are a parent, I will show you how to develop your child’s musicality at home and how to understand what to do next. If you need materials – I will recommend them. Or maybe you want to learn about higher music education in Italy from my experience? There are many paths, and I will share my knowledge with the greatest pleasure to help with both the complex and the simple. Things which many teachers are unable to teach coherently. Everything is done in Latvian, Russian, English or Italian, so I am open to possibilities. Ci vediamo presto!
