About Luke
I'm a musician, music producer, DJ, event producer and record-label owner with a broad appreciation for all kinds of music across the spectrum. I love to teach and the guitar was my first introduction to writing and performing music - I have been playing for 20 years.
Qualifications:
-BMus Honours (Music) degree from Newcastle University (2:1)
[Guitar was taken as my first instrument during my degree,
where I focused on finger-style jazz]
-Rock School Grade 8 electric guitar
-A Level in Music (A) from Truro College
-National Award (Distinction) in Live Music Performance from
Truro College
Experience:
-20 years playing electric and acoustic guitar
-13 years playing fingerstyle jazz and classical on nylon string
guitar
-Airtime on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 1Xtra, BBC Radio 6Music,
Boiler Room, Rinse FM, Keep Hush and more for a number of
electronic tracks that I have written and produced.

My tutoring style is friendly and non-pressured - I am most interested in helping students learn how to write and play the music genres and styles that they love. However, I am also happy to guide students through music theory and grading programmes if that is desirable.
I am also a music producer, so can teach students how to record guitar parts and incorporate them into electronic music production if that would be of interest.
I am comfortable teaching one-to-one or paired sessions and am comfortable with any age group. I am DBS certified to work with children and vulnerable adults.
