About Sharvil
Goa based guitarist. I have been practicing and learning guitar from the last 9 years.
In this time, I also took time out to study Music Production from EM studios, Amsterdam. I have been composing music for various instruments and writing guitar music since my first day with the guitar.
I have performed at various locations in different cities around. Mostly my original compositions.
My influences have been : Gabor Szabo, Pat Metheney, TInariwen, Kokoroko, Chet Baker, Miles Davis, Ali Farko Toure, John Butler, J.S. Bach, Beethoven, Estas Tonne, etc., to name a few.
I listen to different Genres of music, such as: Indie, Classic Rock, Jazz, Blues, Pop, Instrumental and soulful, Western Classical, Indian Classical

(update: I can teach how to use a looper and make beautiful and simple Guitar Loop songs!)
I teach in two ways:
1 - Basic music theory with simple guitar licks and basic chord progressions. From there on moving up to advanced music theory and basic music composition.
2 - Songs that the student wants to learn.
I demonstrate and explain everything related to the lesson in a technique which would be easy for a non-guitarist to understand.
Styles that I can teach : Rock, Western Classical, Blues, Jazz, Indie, pop, etc.,

2 years back, I really wanted to learn a new instrument to unwind. I picked up a guitar and started looking for some clases around my area. I even joined a few but was highly disappointed with their teaching style. It felt like boring college education.
Then I came across Sharvil through a friend. I think the deep love and knowledge that he shares towards his art reflects in his lessons too. Very patient with his students. Also explaination is done using simple words/examples for a beginner to understand.
Highly recommended.
