About Hoo
Hi, I’m Shin May, a contemporary music graduate from Sunway University and a passionate music educator, producer and creator.
With over 5 years of experience in music production, I’ve worked on a wide range of projects, including producing 50+ nursery songs per year for one of Malaysia’s leading kindergarten brands. I also have experience in sound design for visual media, short videos and creative projects.
As an artist, I create and release my own music under “Shin May H., available on Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music and more mainly inspired by J-Rock and J-Pop.
I was honored with a Scholastic Award from Sunway University in recognition of my achievements in music.
In addition, I work as a music transcriber for a YouTube channel with over 100K subscribers, helping musicians learn and understand songs more effectively.
I’m also experienced in Logic Pro X and I’m happy to guide students who are interested in music production, songwriting or arrangement, not just piano playing.
I believe music learning should be creative, practical and enjoyable, whether you're playing your favorite songs or creating your own.
