About Leela
Hi! I'm a passionate and friendly musician with ABRSM Grade 8 in piano, violin, and singing. I have recently completed my Music A Level at Tiffin School, where I was both a Music and Choral Scholar and was offered a Choral Scholarship at Oxford University. I currently manage the UCL Chamber Choir and am working on my piano diploma.
I have experience supporting younger students with their practice and helping beginners build confidence and strong foundations in music. Whether you're just starting out or looking for some extra help preparing for exams, I aim to make lessons fun, encouraging, and tailored to each student's needs.
I'm especially great with children and early learners, and I believe in making music something to enjoy - not stress about! Lessons can include music theory, sight-reading, technique, or help with school music work. I also offer practice support sessions for students who need a little extra guidance outside of their main teacher. Lessons are available online or in person - feel free to reach out with any questions!

Start with scales, warm up and review. Then new material or practising difficulty areas. Finish with goal setting and practice plan for the week. 30, 45, or 60 minute lessons.
Experience as a mentor at Tiffin School. Have taught multiple children singing and piano. Lessons for children of all ages.

If you want a teacher who will take your essays from a 1 to a 100 - I CAN'T recommend Leela enough. She has helped me with both creative writing for English Language GCSE AQA and my English Literature GCSE. I've genuinely gone from a 6 to 9 in a few months. Leela really explained what the examiners want and adjusted my writing style so it was still mine but more suitable to exams. She gave me great essay starters and a clear structure to follow which I needed badly. she also helped me with revision plans and was so supportive. Cheers Leela!
Leela has completely revolutionised my view of English Literature. I used to find lessons at school so hard to get through as I found writing essays a massive task I just couldn't complete. I am now at a Grade 9 GCSE Level after only 5 months!! Not only that, but I actually enjoy writing essays now I understand some simple steps to help me get started and make sure I'm staying on the right track. Leela helped me see it's not that my ideas were bad, they needed to be written differently in a way an examiner could understand my points better. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a teacher to help them gain confidence and ability in writing! :)
