About Shakila
I started playing the piano at 11 and took my first exam straight to Grade 5 when I was 14. Piano is relaxing; I have always played classical music and even modern music in recent times. I have established grade 7 and aim to complete grade 8 once my kids are grown up. Playing the piano is a beautiful skill and very important for a child to take on. For all my students at any age, I would want them to enjoy practising playing the piano to grow confidence when performing in front of an audience or even for an exam.

For kids, I have creativity with how I teach to play the piano and read music including clapping to rhythms, describing notes with expressions in fun ways so that the students are not overwhelmed.
My maternal nature will help students to feel re-assured even when we make mistakes.
Nevertheless, all beginners are welcome at any age as I am a people's person and adapt teaching at their own pace and even to their personalities.
