About Zeyou
Hi! I'm a multilingual musicology student in Leipzig. I was born in China and grew up in Germany.
Over the course of my life, I've acquired English, German, Mandarin Chinese, and even Japanese at a conversational level (and above). I've acquired this knowledge through experience and curiosity—not as a native speaker, but, like you, as a foreign language learner. Therefore, I know better than many native speakers what it feels like to learn a foreign language and become better at it.
I have a personal interest in music and baseball.

My teaching method is based on practical and everyday communication.
I use a conversation-oriented approach, supported by cultural context and individual learning goals. My lessons are highly interactive and flexible—I adapt my methods to your needs and wishes. Therefore, my courses are suitable for every learning level.
A typical lesson begins with a short warm-up (e.g., greeting, review), followed by a thematic discussion. From there, we let our conversation flow dictate the direction. In addition, I will offer linguistic and cultural insights to deepen your understanding of the language.
If necessary and in consultation, the lesson structure can be completely adapted.
