About Tiaan
My passion for music began 15 years ago, and playing five different instruments over the years has given me a deep understanding of how students actually learn, adapt, and build skill. As a student at the University of Miami, I take a thoughtful, patient, and highly organized approach to teaching. I know that starting a new instrument can feel intimidating, which is why I prioritize creating a welcoming, low-stress environment where you can build real momentum. Whether you are picking up a guitar for the first time or looking to sharpen your existing skills, I bring enjoyable lessons, reliable structure, and genuine encouragement to every lesson.

Learning guitar should be fun, not frustrating. When I was younger I started off with lessons and lost interest quickly because I was only learning the drills. Instead I want to help people fall in love with the instrument to get to the point where they can play what they want. More specifically I'm looking to help total beginners and stuck self-taught players master clean finger technique, smooth chord transitions, rhythm fundamentals and music theory. Whether online or in-person, each 30- or 60-minute session is customized to your personal goals so you can build real confidence and hear noticeable progress after every lesson.
