About Marcus
I am an experienced teacher of English, history and Irish. I am specially qualified to teach in Gaelcholáistí. I teach immersively, which means that I teach through Irish and explain meaning using the Irish words that you know, rather than translating directly into English.
To me, Irish is a language. It also happens to be a school subject. I think it’s really important that we’re able to speak and communicate with each other in the language.
If your Irish teacher is teaching you Irish through English, then they’re doing it wrong! If you want to be able to speak Irish, and well in your exams, I can help you do that.
