About Kelsey
My name is Kelsey and I am from South Africa. I am currently a Masters of Social Science candidate whose life passion and experience lead for my research to focus on the transition into university. My postgraduate studies has been in anthropology, but I have also studied psychology and history in my undergraduate degree, as well as being a member of the Golden Key International Honours Society. I have worked as a tutor for my university, Rhodes University, Anthropology department for four years. I really enjoyed my work as a tutor, and eventually as Senior Tutor, in working around the creation of assessments, rubrics and sourcing course material. Most of all, however, I enjoyed working with students, whether in a group or in individual sessions, helping them understand content and develop their academic literacy.
