About Akhilan
I did my bachelors degree in St Andrews, where my final project was analysing the substructure of dark matter in the Milky Way halo (suuuper interesting). I've assisted tutoring at a high-school level, and would like to further improve my teaching abilities for the future since numerous lockdown has left me with some time on my hands.

I am comfortable giving lessons at a a-level/highschool level in particular, but could also teach at a degree level particularly since most of my modules are still fresh in my memory.
My teaching methods are fairly fluid, and I'm open to helping with any topics my students would like to go over, provided they give me enough time to prepare. If it's conceptual help you need, I can find different ways to explain things to you such that they make more sense. If it's hands on problems that you can't seem to work through, I can offer hints and guide you to the solution. If you want more structured lessons where I go over an entire topic from scratch, that works as well, although I'd rather answer specific questions/problems.
I think as a fellow student who has had to work hard to wrap my brain around complex ideas, I am understanding, patient and will be able to relate to the difficulties you may be having. I am also a good public speaker who has given presentations and talks for a majority of his student life, so I'm confident that our sessions will be engaging.
