About Sam
I’m a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) with over 30 years of experience primarily in Development Management and Project Management. I am currently working for clients both in private and public sector across a broad range of schemes. This wide range of exposure gives me a well balanced view of the profession in the round.
Successfully delivering projects is an ability to combine theoretical processes with real life scenarios as solutions in real life are more than just science. I understand the challenges students and early-career professionals face when trying to connect classroom concepts to real-world scenarios — and I tailor my lessons to make that connection clear, relevant, and actionable.
Whether you're preparing for your APC, working through coursework, or seeking to deepen your understanding of development and investment, I offer structured, flexible, and insight-driven support to help you succeed.

I’m a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) with over 30 years experience in Quantity Surveying, Construction Project Management, Real Estate development. My career spans both public and private sectors from owner occupiers to developers and public bodies which give me a broad range of experience and knowledge of processes and perspectives.
I like to think that with my experience I can assist in making the theory more approachable and allow it to be applied in real life scenarios. The profession is very fast moving and applying theory in a world of cosnstant change is a challenage and often involves thinking outside the box..which is easier as one gains experience.
You may be working towards your APC, perhaps having an interview or just wanting a hand hold through the processes I would aim to assist with approachable support and real life experience which will hopefully make the way forward clearer.
I offer tutoring and mentoring in:

*The Development process — from inception, feasibility, due diligence, aquisition, planning and procurement to post contract milestones, Practical Completion and Post PC FM support.
*Planning strategy — how to secure planning permission and navigate policy
