About Matteo
With 8+ years of tutoring experience, I have helped around 150 High School and College students develop confidence in Spanish through organised and engaging lessons. I believe that language learning should be practical, enjoyable, and adapted to each student's needs. Every learner progresses differently, and I make sure my teaching reflects that.
My teaching philosophy is based on encouraging students to communicate rather than simply memorise. I teach grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening, and speaking through practical examples and interactive activities. Students participate in discussions, conversation practice, storytelling, and exercises that make lessons both educational and enjoyable.
Regular assessments and revision sessions help students track their progress and strengthen their understanding. I provide constructive feedback and celebrate every improvement because small achievements lead to greater success over time. I also introduce students to Spanish culture to make lessons richer and more meaningful.
One of my proudest accomplishments has been helping many students improve their examination scores and communication skills. Seeing students become confident speakers gives me great satisfaction and inspires me to continue improving as an educator.
I am committed to creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves, asking questions, and developing the confidence needed to succeed in Spanish.

My Spanish teaching philosophy emphasises lessons that are practical, interactive, and student-centred. Accountability encourages learners to set goals, track their progress, and actively participate in lessons. Integrity ensures lessons are honest, fair, and tailored to each student’s abilities and challenges.
I practise Flexibility, modifying lesson content, exercises, and strategies to suit different learning styles, proficiency levels, and personal interests. Communication is central; I foster active conversation, discussion, and interactive exercises to help students develop fluency, comprehension, and confidence. A Positive learning environment motivates learners, celebrates achievements, and nurtures curiosity.
I also integrate complementary subjects such as grammar, literature, vocabulary, and cultural studies to provide context and enrich learning. My goal is to help students become confident, fluent, and motivated Spanish speakers.
