About Kaya
Alongside my training I’ve worked as audition usher sitting in on countless auditions-which gave me such insight to the dos and don'ts of the audition process.
I've spent time as an Assistant Director on Guildhall summer courses and collaborated extensively with the Guildhall Supported Access team supporting actors from a wide range of backgrounds as they prepare for auditions and training, experiences that sharpened both my craft and my commitment to widening access to high-level training.
My professional experience since graduating (2024) includes regional theatre work performing in an Olivier award-nominated production as well as some work with the BBC.

Guildhall trained actor who enjoys working practically with warmth and a sense of play, always meeting people where they’re at and helping them move forward with confidence.
My sessions are relaxed but purposeful. I focus on helping actors make bolder more playful choices whilst also building their malleability - ability to listen, adapt and respond in the room without losing yourself or confidence.
I believe that the actor's instinct needs to be nurtured whilst relying on simple fundamental craftwork. The aim is to feel alive, grounded and honest.
I can support with monologues, text analysis, voice and character work, always tailoring sessions to the individual in front of me.

Kaya is one of the funniest guys I know. A tremendous actor (I’ve seen most of his work at and since Guildhall) with an incredible eye for truth, presence, and play. He specializes in comedy and accents, but his versatile training has taught him exactly that, versatility. If you not only want to improve dramatically but also want to have a laugh while doing it, then Kaya is the teacher for you.
