About Eli
With 10 years of ESL teaching experience, I have had the privilege of guiding 150-200 high school and college students in developing their English skills. Teaching is more than a job for me; it is a way to empower students to communicate confidently and succeed academically and personally.
I believe that learning English should be practical, engaging, and student-centred. My lessons use real-life examples, discussions, and exercises to make language learning meaningful. I focus on building not only academic skills but also confidence, independence, and critical thinking, so students feel capable of expressing themselves in any context.
Some of my most rewarding experiences include seeing shy students speak fluently, helping students achieve high grades, and witnessing learners write effectively for the first time. These successes motivate me to continue innovating and finding ways to make lessons effective and enjoyable.
I strive to provide a supportive and positive environment where students feel encouraged to take risks, ask questions, and grow. Teaching ESL is my passion, and I am committed to helping every student achieve success while fostering a lifelong love for learning.

My teaching methodology is practical, student-focused, and interactive. I use real-life examples and case studies to help students connect English lessons to their daily life, academic work, and professional environments. This ensures that learners understand not only the rules of English but also how to use it confidently in real situations.
I emphasise motivation, encouraging students to stay curious, set achievable goals, and celebrate progress. Problem-solving is also central, guiding learners to overcome challenges in speaking, writing, reading, and listening through clear strategies and practice.
Integrity is at the heart of my approach. I provide honest feedback, maintain transparency, and foster a respectful, supportive learning environment. I also practise flexibility, tailoring lessons to each student’s pace, preferences, and learning style.
In addition to ESL, I can teach related subjects such as communication skills, study strategies, and cultural awareness to enrich learning. My aim is to help students become confident, independent, and effective English users.
