About Shelby
Years spent under stage lights and inside tracking rooms define my perspective. I hear the vibration of every string before my fingers even touch the fretboard. This technical foundation allows me to guide students through grade exam prep and complex chord transitions with ease.
My 13 years of teaching have taught me that maintenance and ear training are just as vital as improvisation. I work with individuals who want to bridge the gap from practicing in bedrooms to performing on actual stages.
Balancing electric and acoustic technique feels like second nature after decades of refinement. Reading tabs and mastering scales are the tools I provide for your musical growth. I enjoy watching students finally understand how modes function in real time. My own journey from student to full-time instructor remains a deeply personal commitment.

Struggling with messy chord changes is the most frequent obstacle for new players. 10 specific techniques exist to transform your playing speed immediately.
We analyze your posture and mechanics to ensure that your progress sounds musical from the very first note. Practical application remains the core of my teaching philosophy after 13 years.
I focus on rhythm, improvisation, and soloing to make sure your hands know exactly where to go. You receive feedback that is both precise and energetic during our time together.
Maintaining your instrument properly prevents many common frustrations before they begin. I treat every session as a chance to refine your ear and your technical accuracy. My goal is to hear you play with confidence that carries across the stage.
