Hi, my name's Matthew. I'm currently a college student, and I'm excited to teach English! I'm working to gain experience and gain a little extra pocket money, but I'm also happy to share my knowledge with you. I'm confident you'll feel the improvement in your English by taking my classes.

For English, I usually put a lot of emphasis on speaking, writing, and comprehension. I believe these three skills are vital to English learning, and will improve their language skills as a whole.
For example, I would ask students to only speak in English, if possible, for the entire session. If the student is not good at English, he/she may use other languages to ask me, and I will teach them how to say it in English. I also teach students how to articulate their words and speak with clarity to score well for speaking tests.
For writing, I'd educate on the marking scheme of SPM. After that, I'd ask students to write essays and apply the techniques they've learned.
For example, including cohesive devices, and making sure content is coherent. I usually get my students to write a paragraph, preferably handwritten, and then I'd tell them where they could've done better, and ask them to rewrite it. Therefore, they will do multiple drafts of the same essay, with improvement each and every time. This helps students remember the techniques they implemented while writing the essays.
Not only that, I also help improve students' vocabulary as they write their essays. By learning to apply the words they've learned, they'll understand the words better and be able to use it during their exams as well.
For comprehension, I use past year papers, such as trial papers. I'd explain to the students where to find the answers for each question. For other aspects, such as grammar and listening, I believe they will pick it up naturally while writing and during the lesson itself, as I will constantly correct their grammar and speak in fluent English.
