About Drew
I received my degree in Mathematics and Secondary Education in 2014, and I have been teaching middle school math the last 9 years, teaching all grade levels (6, 7, 8), with experience working with learners of all abilities, from math support to advanced learners. I have tutored occasionally over the years, so I am experienced with one-on-one sessions, and I also worked as a teacher at Huntington Learning Center for a year, so I am familiar with skill-building and ACT/SAT prep as well.

I pride myself on teaching with empathy and care. I realize that math is not everyone's best subject, so I try my best to make sure that I am clear with my instruction and that I provide as many variations of examples as possible. A typical lesson is dependent on the needs of the learner and can include help with homework, review of prerequisite skills, or pre-teaching of material that will be covered later on in a class. I am pretty adaptable to whatever the client might need or want.
