About Suryani
Hello! My name is Suryani Hidayat, and I am a math teacher with years of classroom experience teaching middle school mathematics and Algebra 1. Over the course of my career, I have guided many students who once felt unsure about math to develop confidence and achieve success. I believe every student has the ability to learn math with the right support. A Typical Lesson Plan A lesson with me often follows this structure: 1. Warm-Up / Review – We begin with a quick check of prior knowledge or a short practice problem. 2. Direct Instruction – I introduce the new concept with clear explanations and examples. 3. Guided Practice – We work through problems together, with me modeling strategies and gradually giving more responsibility to the student. 4. Independent Practice – The student tries similar problems while I provide feedback and support. 5. Wrap-Up / Reflection – We summarize key takeaways and I assign a short follow-up task to reinforce learning.
