About Crystal
I’m a dedicated educator who enjoys helping students discover that reading and writing can actually be interesting and empowering. I have several years of experience working with students in both classroom and intervention settings, and I’m passionate about helping learners build confidence in their abilities.
My background in psychology and education helps me understand how students learn and what strategies help them succeed. I enjoy creating lessons that are thoughtful, engaging, and supportive so students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring ideas.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy creative hobbies like art and photography. I believe creativity and curiosity are important parts of learning, and I love helping students develop both as they grow their skills in reading and writing.

My lessons are designed to help students build strong reading, writing, and critical thinking skills in a supportive and engaging environment. I focus on helping students understand ideas deeply rather than just memorizing answers. Lessons are discussion-based and interactive so students feel comfortable asking questions and sharing their thoughts.
A typical lesson might include reading and analyzing a short passage, practicing writing skills, and working through strategies that improve comprehension and organization. I tailor each lesson to the student’s level and goals so they can make steady progress and feel more confident in their abilities.
These lessons are especially helpful for middle school students who want to improve reading comprehension, essay writing, and overall confidence with English. My goal is to make learning clear, encouraging, and meaningful for every student.
