About Alexa
Hi! I’m a MedSci student with a strong background in science and math, and I love helping students build both understanding and confidence in these subjects. I know how frustrating it can be when concepts don’t click, so my tutoring style is patient, step-by-step, and tailored to each student’s learning pace. I focus on making lessons clear, practical, and engaging, while giving strategies that help students succeed both in class and on exams. My goal is to make learning feel achievable and even enjoyable, so students leave each session feeling capable and motivated.

My Tutoring Approach
I focus on helping students truly understand the material, not just memorize it. My teaching methodology is step-by-step and tailored to each student’s learning style. I use a combination of explanations, visual aids, worked examples, and practice problems to make concepts clear and manageable. I encourage questions and create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable admitting what they don’t understand.
Typical Lesson Plan
Quick check-in and review of previous material
Introduction of new concepts with clear, simple explanations
Guided practice with examples and interactive problem-solving
Independent practice while I provide support and feedback
Summary of key takeaways and strategies for study outside the session
What Sets Me Apart
I’m a MedSci student, so I bring real academic experience and understanding of science and math at a high school level. I focus on building confidence alongside knowledge, helping students feel capable and motivated. I’m patient, organized, and committed to adapting my teaching to the student’s pace and needs.
Who the Lessons Are For
I tutor middle and high school students in science (biology, chemistry, physics) and math. My lessons are perfect for students who struggle with understanding concepts, want to improve grades, or need structured support to succeed in school.
