About Lisa-Marie
I have over 9 years of classroom experience. Most of my experience was in grades 4th -8th, specifically in math and algebra 1. My skill set includes teaching math concepts at a visual/concrete level before moving to the abstract, working one on one with struggling students, and providing appropriate scaffolding and accommodations to learning disabilities. I have taught a wide range of students including gifted, Autistic, ELL, ED, ADHD, and other health impairments.

I love tutoring one on one because it gives me a chance to work with a student to achieve their goals and inspire them on a personal and academic level. I can really build relationships and trust with my students. I individualized each lesson and tailored it to the student. I am a creative person that wants to make learning fun and not be worried about passing a test. I want my students to feel confident with themselves and their own ability to tackle any problem that comes their way.
