About Tyler
I received a BA with honours in political science and an MFA in creative writing. I've professionally published books and publish fiction, non-fiction, and poetry in literary magazines. I taught creative writing classes at the University of British Columbia. I have tutored English and Humanities.

My teaching methods are focused, but relaxed. I structure my courses to build from the foundation and be understood throughout. As a student, I would find it difficult when presented with full concepts from the beginning. I try to have the coursework have an internal logic that builds on top of itself.
