About Georgina
Hi! I'm Georgina, an MFA fiction writer and former high school teacher with a deep love for language, storytelling, and helping others find their voice. I specialize in Chicanx literature, but have a passion for both fiction and creative nonfiction writing. I think the most important thing a person can be is kind. I try to lead every interaction with empathy and hope that we can establish a tutor/learner relationship that is uplifting and inspiring.

My approach as a tutor is supportive, flexible, and focused on helping students feel more confident in their learning. I blend academic structure with creativity to meet each student where they are.
A typical session might include a quick check-in, review of key skills, step-by-step guidance on assignments, and time to practice together. I specialize in English, writing, and reading support for high school and early college students, especially those who need a patient and understanding approach.
