I scored a 5 on the AP Calculus BC exam, earned A’s in all my double-accelerated math classes, and spent over three years as a tutor at Mathnasium, helping students of all levels develop clarity and confidence in math. About the lesson

As a tutor, I believe that confidence is just as important as content. I focus on helping students truly understand the "why" behind each math concept—not just memorize formulas. My approach is patient, structured, and personalized. I aim to make math feel logical, even enjoyable, by breaking down difficult problems into manageable steps and using real-world analogies when possible.

A typical lesson begins with a quick review of what we covered last time, followed by working through new material together. I ask guiding questions to encourage independent thinking, and I always check for understanding before moving forward. If there’s an upcoming test or assignment, we’ll tailor the session to that. I also provide study strategies and practice problems to reinforce what we cover.

What sets me apart is my combination of deep content knowledge and empathy. As someone who scored a 5 on the AP Calculus BC exam, earned A’s in double-accelerated math courses, and worked as a Mathnasium tutor for 3 years, I know what mastery looks like—but I also remember what it feels like to be stuck. Now, as a medical student, I bring strong communication skills, discipline, and a mentorship mindset to each session.
