About Shaun
Hi! My name is Shaun, and I am a medical student at University College Dublin (UCD) with a passion for helping students achieve their academic goals. Having been through the challenges of school and university myself, I understand that every student learns differently. My aim is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their abilities.
I have several years of tutoring experience and have been teaching mathematics since I was 13 years old. Throughout my tutoring journey, I have worked with students of different ages and abilities, helping them strengthen their understanding, improve their problem-solving skills, and prepare effectively for exams.
I offer tutoring in Biology, Mathematics, and Physiology for Junior Cycle, Leaving Certificate, and university students. Rather than focusing solely on memorization, I emphasize understanding the concepts, applying knowledge, and developing effective study and exam techniques that students can continue to use throughout their education.
I believe learning should be interactive and personalized. Every lesson is tailored to the student’s individual goals, strengths, and areas for improvement. Whether you’re aiming to improve your grades, prepare for an upcoming exam, or build confidence in a subject you’ve been struggling with, I’m here to help you succeed.

Several years of tutoring experience, with maths tutoring since the age of 13. Lessons tailored to each student’s individual learning style and academic goals.
*I recommend booking lessons of at least 1 hour and 30 minutes. In my experience, students often spend the first part of the lesson getting comfortable with the material. Longer sessions allow them to get into the flow of the subject, ask questions, practise applying concepts, and leave with a stronger understanding.*
