About Joel
I understand first-hand the challenges students can face when trying to keep up academically. Throughout my own education, I benefited greatly from the guidance of dedicated tutors who helped me develop strong study skills, deepen my understanding, and build the academic foundation that I now use in medical school.
These experiences shaped both my approach to learning and my approach to teaching. They showed me the lasting impact a supportive and knowledgeable tutor can have on a student’s confidence and success. My goal is to provide that same level of guidance, structure, and encouragement to every student I work with.

I run interactive and engaging tutoring sessions focused on helping students genuinely understand what they’re learning rather than just learning it for the test. I break topics down clearly, encourage questions, and adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s needs and pace.
I’ve been tutoring for over 7 years and have helped students gain entry into competitive selective schools for Year 9 entrance. All of my past students have achieved Grade 7 or above, reflecting a strong focus on both understanding and exam success.
Lessons usually last between 1 hour and 1 hour 30 minutes, giving plenty of time to explain concepts, practise questions, and tackle problem areas.
I offer lessons for students from Year 7 to Sixth Form, supporting a wide range of abilities — from building confidence in core topics to focused exam preparation.
